sounds like you may need a head gasket, do a compression test all cyl shoujd be within 10%

1990 90 hp water in cylinders/poor idle

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I have a 1990 Evinrude 90 hp that is somehow getting water in the lower 2 cylinders. It starts great cold, runs great thru all speed ranges, but after wamed up it idles at low rpms, approx. 600-700 in neutral in the water, and starts hard.

Thanks--although it seems odd that both lower cylynders are leaking together. Is it possible that both head gaskets went bad right at the same time?
