Well, I guess snorting is technically inhaling. Though most of the transfer is through the membranes in the nose rather than from the oxygen in the lungs, :) I guess progress comes in all forms. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The Bush administration wishes they were as good at running this country as the Clinton administration was. ;)

Must give us pause! Is this a comment by a liberal or a very naive person? Perhaps you meant ruinning ?
Naaaaaaaah, you may be naive but you appear intelligent. Perhaps you live near Portland and some of the Oregonian influence is rubbing off. ;) :) :winkwink:

Well, my stocks were up, our national deficiet was down, pork barrel spending was way lower, and our elected leaders were not spending their time debating if brain dead people should be kept alive over their husband's wishes.

We gave up a government that made our country look good, in favor of a government that makes us look like a bunch of asshats and bullys.

Honestly, I don't like either party. I want fiscal conservatives who are socially liberal. I want them to be responsible with my money and leave me alone concerning my own personal life-choices. As it is, we traded one set of corporate/special interest group lackys for another. I just think the previous one had less of an impact on me personally, but then again I could see how Christian conservatives or people who drink the Republican Party punch, would have a different opinion. ;)

Oh, and BTW, how's that "Spreading Democracy" going in the Middle East?

Asshats and bullys!

sadly I fear techo´s last comment will come to pass.
history will repeat itself.
its funny how the international news I am watching here in caracas is a wee bit different than the ABC soup news thats being spoon fed to the US.
but we will see.
and in the international news codi wheezy, token or twofer as you prefer, really does look like an idiot. she cant say 4 words without a pause to go"ugh". its almost as bad as some of the presidents speeches. its terrible when a furriner :) can speak better english than the secretary of state or the president of the US and especially looking at the presigous colleges they went to.

I used to think like that. Fact is that they are mutually exclusive ideas. "Socially liberal" is getting more involved in your personal lives. Liberals fail to see this . . . Socially liberal also costs more $, so they can't be fiscally conservative.

I am registered "undeclared" party-wise as I originally thought two parties restricted true compromise. I now believe my non-party affiliation thing is actually irresponsible. As I have matured I now realise that polarised parties are a good thing. Causes nothing to happen, so they can't muck it up any more than has already been done. This is why I should actually register Republican, they are the most consistent with my views despite some of their idiocy. Need to help keep it polarised . . . ;)

I call BS on that. How does letting my wife smoke pot cost taxpayers money? How does letting my choose to end my own life w/medical assistance cost taxpayers money? How does something consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home cost taxpayers money?

What costs is debating, legislating, and enforcing laws that are designed to limit personal freedom concerning how consenting adults live their lives. Do not confuse being socially liberal with welfare. Welfare is a handicap for the people/business/organizations that receive it. Social liberties involve the freedom what's right for you, not being told what's right by crooked politicians.

I'm registered Libertarian, and though I do not agree with everything the party represents, it is the closest match to my primary concerns...smaller government and more person freedom for responsible adults.

Re: Talk about dummies voting twice

That's cool LFK, but the next step in allowing some of those freedoms is guaranteeing equal access for all. Think about it . . . I still think ultimately those macro positions don't do well together. I am for maintaining personal freedoms as well, but be careful, Democrats and Liberals have done more to restrict those than conservatives. This can be easily supported, just think about Political correctness and speech codes etc. Amazing what they get away with.

I think a lot like a Libertarian, however, they are too Isolationist for me. Also, I know first hand that the free market cannot be completely trusted to do the right thing. We are probably closer in spirit than we sound, although I don't' think that "whatever floats your boat" is a good thing for society et al.

Re: Talk about dummies voting twice

LFK, I agree with you on all of your points, when I lived in Alaska it was legal to grow and use pot and there wasn't anybody throwing themselves off roofs or anything. I also feel the terminally ill should be allowed a dignified death. I resent being forced to wear a seat belt when I'm in a car or wear a helmet on a motorcycle (even though I do wear both I don't like to be forced) The problem is that both major parties have become so ingrained that if you don't toe the line of one or the other you don't stand a chance of being elected to anything. Wrong? Yes, in my opinion it sure is but until the people start paying attention and start being more active it will never change. I don't see people getting more involved as they get more dumbed down every generation. One of the best things about this forum is we fight like siblings but I think it would be great to have a beer or 2 with PW2, Blu Lunch,Treedancer or any of the others that I know have opposite views from mine because at least we are expressing our opinions where most of the people anymore just shrug and go on down to McDonalds hoping to spill hot coffee on themselves and get a big settlement!

No Questionable, despite your ribald innuendo anywhere it lands that creates second degree burns will qualify. Another "good one" of questionable taste. := := := :=
Edit: the person who cooked the coffee acted dummer than she was. (obligitory topic reference)
