1988 Evinrude 9.9 Shifter adapter

Hello all. I am unable to locate the shifting adapter for my inboard controls. I am using the standard 479 control cables. The nylon adapter which attaches to the shifter has snapped off. Anyone know where I might find one of these? Or even the entire adapter kit? I am unable to locarte it at iboats.
