9.9 Sea Horse

I have a 9.9 Sea Horse Model # TJ10RELECSC that gets really hot when trolling slowly yet cools down quickly when run at full throttle. I can't seem to verify where the water comes out.
What year is it and where is the water exiting the motor. Also why is getting so hot at slow speed?

Looks like a 1980. Not sure if they had a telltale on that model or relief holes part way down the back of the leg. In either case if you don't know when your water pump was last changed I would do it now. You might also want to take a 1/2" hose and hook it to the water tube when you have the lower unit off and run water through it to clean out any mud or blockage that may be in there.
