Yeah, I should have popped it, but it has gotten so humid with this heat and diggin a hole is out of the question. The neighbor guy just throws them out onto the highway but it soon puts a stench in the air,,,,,especially when it is hot!

This whole paragraph is cracking me up.
I don't know what's funnier, the part about being too hot to dig a hole or the neighbor throwing them on the highway!

Had a nieghbor who used a cat trap and pellet gun to get rid of them. The cats would hide in the flower garden and kill the birds. He put the dead cats on the RR tracks.

Here is a problem.
Black cat in the neighbourhood.....seen it early in the morning......seen a few dead native birds.......there is cat mess in the main nursery.
I know the owners.....and they are good people.
Hesitating to put out the cage-trap and give moggy an everlasting dunking in the dam.
If i didn't know owners, moggy would be undeground by now.
Still thinking it over.

Try taking a picture of kitty lurking where he shouldn't be then bringing it over to the owners with a couple of samples of cat mess and explain the situation.

Wait several weeks, if they didn't take the hint go ahead and discreetly solve the problem to your own satisfaction.
