Your right he says 9.9 i just thought for some reason it was a 9.5 but any way, it still can be crank rated vs. newer prop rated motors.

I can't seem to find the plate giving me the exact model number. It looks like it may have been taken off. my prop size is 9.5x11, and we have tried a 9x10, both 3 blade

Have a look on the power head for a quarter sized, convex disc, about the size of a quarter. This is the welsh plug. Your model info is on that disc......

I seem to recall that the 9.9 cowl decals fit the 60hp cowl. Just a thought...

We already have a 50hp yamaha, we just had to do an overhaul on it, so we needed something to use in the meantime. It's not fun fishing the big lake with the 9.9, so we started fishing the 10hp lake. Now we have points there, and dont want to go back to the unlimited lake, hence the freshly built yami 50 is staying off.
