Motor was replace as we thought the other was cracked.
Rebuilt everything, put it in the water and hence, the engine started sucking water into the oil. Now we are not sure what is going on and its starting to become annoying.

Anyone got any ideas on to what we are doing or not doing wrong?

Did you check/replace exhaust manifolds and risers? If you run in salt, they are due.....

Re: motor sucking in water

ok, got everything fixed, had to replace gears on distributor, made sure the timing was top dead center and the boat ran wonderfully in the driveway with the earmuffs on.

We put the boat in the lake and it started acting up. Boat had no speed, the timing jump (yes new belt), checked everything, put everything back on top dead center and the belt is slipping, no matter how tight it is.

Ready to trash if didnt have so much money tied up in it now.

Anyone got any clues?
