Parts for old motors

I have two Evinrude motors from the 60's and I'm wondering how long replacement parts are going to be available for these old motors. It seems they keep on running quite well but I'm afraid someday I'm going to need something like a head gasket and I won't be able to buy one and that will be the end of the motor. Does anyone have any inside information on OEM and aftermarket parts production?

Nothing hard and fast, but I'm betting parts will be around for a long, long time. As long as there is a market for them, they will be available. They've been around for 40+ years already, so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it....

I'll go along with Rick parts will be around for some time. Both new and used.
Gaskets are pretty easy to make if they are not available. Many routine parts are readily available back to the early 50s today. Some right here at iboats.

Someday is a bit hard to analyze,But I would think by 2026 some of these parts won't be available.Buy them while they are hot !
