ok here goes. first time out this season impellor went on lower unit. cause me to overheat and melt bellows at exhaust manifold to exhaust tube. replaced all components. second time out after repair, hose from thermostat housing to exhaust manifold burst. replaced and found exhaust bellows on outdrive bad so i replaced it. third time out ran at dock 10 to 15 minutes no problem, left dock went about 200 yards at WOT watch temp rise to 200 to 225 degrees. backed off throttle temp came down very little, puttered back to dock, went home pulled thermostat housing found no stat in housing. i don't think that is my overheating issue. does anyone have any ideas where else to look? it's a merc 120 with alpha one drive i know i'm pumping water i can see a good flow when i'm connected to hose and flushing it and at the dock good flow thru prop exhuast just over heating under load.
