Newbies

Hi all, I am sure there have been many a thread about and for people staring out boating: what kind of boats to look for, what kinds do what, where to look for them, what to look for before you buy, what should be your first boat, etc, etc
Why is there no beginer's corner or stickies?
Would make life a lot easier for us newbies.
Have a keen desire to start out into the wonderful world of boating and would request some of the "gurus" here and elsewhwere to put together one.
Or if it exists somewhere would someone point us to it and make that a "sticky"

well this one's been said a few times before. the united states power squadron ( http://www.usps.org/ ) or the coast gaurd auxillary ( http://nws.cgaux.org/index.html ) both offer boater safty class for folks just gettin into boating. ya also get more than just boater safty too if ya want to pursue it. ya get to hang out with others that are in the same boat (pun intended) as you and aslo some more than likely folks that have a real good clue as to what ya might need to know to get started in yer boating adventure...
