Hello all, new to the board. I bought a neighbors 17.5 bowrider I/O with a GM 4cyl (120hp) and OMC stringer drive. It was a project from day 1 - got all new transom, motor mounts and floor in.
Now, onto the motor. I took off the manifold to make sure it isn't cracked or rusted through and it "looks" ok, but I do want to pressure test the water passages. I have a welder, compresser, drill press, etc and figure it would be fairly easy to make some plates to block off the ends, with an air fitting in each passage. The $1,000,000 question.....how much air pressure should I put in?
any ideas?
