i bought a 50h.p. Mercury outboard. the serial(i think) is # 7052996. it it black with blue and silver trim and lettering. it has thunderbolt ignition on it.
how do you adjust the throttle cable. i have to push half throttle to engage the prop and full throttle gives only slight r.p.m. increase
also i bought flush muffs but it doen't stream out the top. it has slits above the propeller and i think they are further cooling intake.we put tape on the slits but nothing happens. we put water in from the top and nothing. is it a pump problem and how hard is it to repair
