I switched from Boat U.S. to Progressive this past spring (because they hiked the rates) and now am getting mail from many other companies. I'm not switching, as none can match my premium with Progressive. Nonetheless, I was wondering who everyone here uses...

I am with Progressive also. Until earlier this summer I was with USAA. After examining my policy I noticed that USAA was only insuring my boat for market value. My boat is in great shape and worth a lot more than market value. When I approached USAA about an "Agreed Value" policy, I was told they did not offer that style of policy, but they could act as an agent in selling me a policy through Progressive. I took USAA up on the offer. I now have an Agreed Value through Progressive that was sold to me at USAA's normal low price.

I have WestMar. All the shops near me recommended them because they don't have problems with actually paying for claims. The price ain't too bad either. I have Progressive for my vehicles, but WestMar had a better policy which was more inclusive.

I am also with Progressive through my AAA agent. I get a % off using AAA as my agent. Progressive seems to be the cheapest around for boats in most areas. Here in Florida many insurance companies have been excluding hurricane damage to boats from the policies. As soon as a company said that, I said thanks but no thanks.

Allstate. No discount for the boat, but its only 80 bux/year. Plus its much simpler to have everything with one company.
