Most references Ive seen suggest 1 ½ turns out from fully seated as a starting point for low speed mixture setting. I have a 130 HP 2000 Johnson Oceanrunner that is running lean lean sneeze then dies. I carefully counted how far out the mixture screws were set on each of the 4 plastic carbs. They were set anywhere between 4 ¼ to 4 ½ turns out from fully seated. Im now set to around 5 to 5 ½ turns out & it seems like she doesnt sneeze as much. Throttle response seems pretty good. Any suggestions on how these carbs should be initially set and adjusted? Thanks!
