Service and repair manual for johnson 50hp seahorse

Cant find a service and repair manual for a johnson 50hp seahorse 1971 anywhere even ebay. Are the SELOC manuals anygood and do they incorporate servicing as well as repairs.

anybody any ideas?

Rob, the manual you really need is the johnson original #506859,this is the engine specific manual, reprints are available at kencooke.com for $39.58 + sp. or keep watching ebay they do show up. Seloc is a ok manual for changing spark plugs, but is vague on major repairs. welcome to iboats.

I see several on ebay. One for $10. It's an Evinrude one but there's no difference between Johnsons and Evinrudes.

Use this ebay search term:

(50, 50hp) (evinrude, johnson) manual 1971

actually neither one of them is a website for manuals! I've been trying to locate it..

Kencook.com worked for me. the listings on ebay must be new ones, they also have a couple of johnson 71 50hp manuals listed now!

I bought one of the $10.00 manuals, on ebay. It is on CD. Thus you can print whatever you want.

I've also ordered from ken Cook. Both have served well.
