1992 javelin 389t,92 engine.running 14 1\4x24 raker.had this boat about 6 months.5200 rpms is all i can get by myself,half tank fuel.with 2 people same fuel 4600 4800.no jackplate or hydrofoil.any ideas on tweeking this boat motor combo?thanks,roy

Rakers are pretty decent props but as a rule of thumb, if the boat doesn't have a jackplate, it doesn't get a Raker. If the motor isn't all the way up you might try raising it. 5200 for a 60* with a 24 Raker that's buried isn't all that bad. That's a 19' boat, right?

yes its 19 foot.and thanks for the reply.i was guessing 5600 was about the rpm she should be in.but thats okay.what prop would you recomend when i have to change it.thanks again,roy

To be honest, if I were doing it, my next move would be a jackplate. Then restest with the Raker. Then if a change was needed/wanted I'd look at the Turbo Lightning.

Listen to dale,he's helped me out alot with my 175.you definatly need the jackplate.
