Seems like every time a hot topic comes up it always devolves into a mud sling contest about religion or politics between the various factions... so this is what the thread is about, What I hate about you.

Go ahead, get it out of your systems. If you keep it clean maybe the Mods will let it slide... ( or I'll be vaporized by morning for starting this thread 8)

Hate is such a strong word. I do dislike the fact that almost every subject can be turned into a slingfest. I mean there you are reading about something that may interest you and BAM! Here comes the flames. Everything seems to turn either political or religious. Like Moses walking along and this bush starts burning and suddenly his day is all about religion.
Speaking of Bush The guy really p155ed me off the other day. There I am, picking up my folks at Flint MI airport and Air Force One is there. We go to leave and they shutdown the airport. No one in or out. Have to wait for his motorcade to pass. I ask the cop who is blocking off traffic, "How Long" ? He replies 'He is about 20 miles out or so'. 20 Miles out! I could be 30 miles away by the time he gets there.

Who does he think he is the Pope or some thing? Speaking of the Pope........

I hate the fact that people get all upset about what is said on a message board.

Its just talk people, and lets face it, hardly anyone will ever change thier mind.

I come here to discuss and relax and laugh.

Lake Conroe is about 1 1/2 hours away. Nice lake, my brother used to live on it.

i don't 'hate' much of anything. takes to much energy to hate. i like to read the posts that have much controversy. i havn't said which side of religion or politics i'm on. but i find that reading the ones from the side i ain't on most informitive. it's always good to know what the other side is up to ya know. then it's time to go vote.
as for the folks who just like to stir it up. so be it, as there's one in every crowd. i like cats, you like dogs. it takes all kinds to make the world go round.......
i'm here for the boating part anyways. the education part of iboats fourm is great. bet we can all agree on that.

funny no one gave me any flack about being into jetski's for 9 years. i was expecting it on a boating fourm and it never came, and now it's to late. i only got a boat.......guess i've been converted,,,, so to speak........

The cow bell! I dislike it greatly and just realized it is from a Saturday Night Live skit featuring Will Ferrell (sp).

It is okay to disagree with ideas, but not to bash the person who is saying them.

I can't stand thin skinness, condescension as a debate tool, people who post questions and after two minutes post flames against the board becuase nobody responded, and posts where people are annoucing their departure from the site vowing never to come back.

I also can't stand constant pessimism about our country and its direction.

I do enjoy the personal soap operas that occasionally happen. I find it very interesting.

Standard security protocol ever since the first "air Force One" -- is, was, and ever shall be annoying if it comes to an airport near you.

I hate it when people refer to common courtesy as "political correctness." Respect for others didn't use to be a bad thing. Still isn't in a lot of places. There's plenty of forums (fora?) on the internet where hatespeech and flaming are the norm - I hate to see it here.

I especially hate it when people boldly display their Christianity in their signature, and post non-Christian messages above it.

Have to agree there... or their political bias with each post... it gets old seeing every thread degenerate to left or right, hard core Christian or agnastic, or any other of the "creeds or cults"... "just the facts"... every thing else will come out in the wash.

I hate people who take remarks totally out of context and jump into the middle of a conversation shouting 'RACISM' because someone mentions a nationality or skin colour.


One good example would be this:-

Halle Berry calls Chris Moyles racist live on air

I was listening to this live. She made a total fool of herself and behaved like a complete diva.
