I bought a 1978 rebuilt 50 hp Evinrude without power packs. There is an orange wire and orange/blue wire that hook up to the power packs. My question is which one goes to cylinder one.

I have the manual but it does not show which wire feed which power pack.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Orange wire - No. 1 Coil
Orange/blue wire - No.2 Coil

Check also that the black/white wire in the 4 wire connector is positioned in connector terminals marked "B".

That should do it.8)
