Has anyone ever replaced a headliner? I have a 1985 36' Regal Commodore, and the headliner is falling off. Since most of it is coming off, I will probably wash it since the previous owners smoked in the cabin, and it is discolored. Any recomendations? It is a huge job, one that I have not done before, but I believe I can do it.

As for Air conditioning, our boat was set up in the days where an AC was actually 2 units, and it is supposed to go into the engine hatch. Has anyone ever added air to a boat that was designed like this? How did you go about adding air. It has ducting, which is all based on the AC going into the engine room.

never done it in a boat, tried it on a car, was ok for a year. there are auto detail shops, that specialize in head liners. talk to them.

Re: Headliner/AC

you have to be very carefull about an AC compressor in the engine room a lot are NOT rated to be installed in that area

They are made BUT cost a lot of money if they are ignition protected

Most of the newer ones would go in the cabin and hook up to the duct work from there
