OK I have to admit I am totally ignorant and utterly useless when it comes to trying to find what GPS unit I need. The more I research the dumber I get :$ .Take it easy on me fellas.
I only fish one lake but its a big lake. Lake guntersville in North Alabama its about 69,100 acres. I have a map marked with waypoints on it I am looking for a GPS that I can follow or find the locations as well as maybe mark certin spots and entering a couple of extra waypoints. I dont have to have one with built in maps or lots of memory for as little as possible maybe around under $200.00

I would go to a store that carried both of the units to see which one you like the feel of best.

Is that what you are looking for...a small handheld?

If it were me, I would pick the Garmin over that Magellan. Bass Pro is kinda pricey on GPS units too. Use pricegrabber.com to compare prices before you make your final purchase.

Re: Some input Please

Thanks Bruce,
I was just using thier site as a reference only. I do not like the hefty shipping fees from them :^

JB, sorry I wasn't recommending the site..I was strictly asking about the product its self. I personally do not like them..I was merely asking the difference (the actual product) compared to the one Rick suggested as iboats didn't have the particular item as I did search for it in iboats d:). I try to do a lot of researching before buying a product whether its through iboats, competitor or eBay.

Most manufacturers have good websites with product descriptions and pictures. In most cases they do not sell through their website and you are welcome to refer to them in that instance.

It is not the referral that is a problem, KG, it is the direct link. Direct links to any commercial enterprise are not allowed.

A referral to even a competitor is okay, so long as it is not a direct, clickable link.

Just to be clear, is it ok to post links to sites like Garmin, Lowrance, Shakespeare, Furuno? I do this sometimes so people can get a better discription and all the spec. I do not believe these sites sell direct and IBoats does sell their products.

No problem with providing an address, Boatist, just don't make it clickable.

The reason has to do with search engines and how they collect data.
