Piston pictures 30 vs. std

1973 50 HP Evinrude 50373R
I'm about to put my engine back together after having the bottom cylinder bored. But I noticed the 30 over piston is somewhat different than my standard one.
1) The ports are shaped different
2) The ring groves are farther from the top
Is this normal?

Yes! that is normal. Wha piston's are you using?

They are both OMC. One is an original from my 73 and the oversize is a new 30 over.

You need to have your pictures hosted by a web site like Photobucket.com. Its free. Then post the link to the pictures in your message.
