Looking to install a below deck fuel tank when I replace my floor.

Thinking of a Tempo TP30BV as it is 7" high. This is about all the space I have under my floor right now. I can accomidate the fillers and connections at the end of it by haveing the tank near the stern of the boat, but has anyone ever put one of these in a Starcraft?

Products are here

Those Tin Starcrafts Don't have the Space for Underfloor Tanks,.............

I've got a 21' copy of your Hull,........
The underfloor area is taken up by the Stringers,... Cross Members,+ Foam.......

How about saddle tanks for the side? Lots of saddle tanks made that fit under the gunnel.

Saddle Tanks Won't work in these hulls either,......

There's a Shelf, that helps hold the sidepanels in place,+ it supports the side of the hull......
There's Too Little space below the shelf,+ removing it is Out of the Question, as it's Needed for Hull Support......

I pulled and junked the bow tank that was in the boat when I bought it (it was rusting) and don't want to go back to a bow tank as I plan on "modifying" my bow to have a casting platform (heck, I hacked up the back end, why not the front end?).

What's the stern tank look like? Would a standard tank work or was it a custom fit? My boat had one back there at one point (based on the filler still being there) but was probably moved to the bow for weight reasons. Since I replaced the OMC stringer with an outboard, I waon't have the same weight issues. And seems my fat butt sits on the starboard side, fuel on the port side will balance the boat some.

So, after all that rambling, what do the stern tanks look like?

Don't remember Exactly,.......

But,...
It was basically a rectangular tank, that fit within the usable area,......

I'd be Careful doing that,........
The Deck Structure is what holds the Sides of the Hull where they Belong..............

I just today installed a bow tank in my 72 16 foot starcraft jupiter. It fits below the casting platform. Its kinda tight as far as height goes ( the tank need a little modification), and it left some waisted space in the front....but it solved my dilema. I got it at overtons. its a moeller 19 gallon. I will take some pics and post them mon or tuesday.
