That's right, my 86 Force 50 sucked a very large chunk of that foam rubber insulation from the cowel right down the carb throat along with assorted small fule soaked bit ! Stopped me cold right in the middle of the lake. Scooped it out and one large cloud of gray smoke later, I was on my way. No apparent problems. I pulled the rest of that foam out of there. Any potetial problen in my engine?

Thanks.

lucky it was foam
might want to decarb it to get all the pieces out of there or pull the plugs and crank it over for 10 seconds and stop for awhile and do it again

As long as none of it is stuck in the carb or reeds, you are ok.

A decarb is always a good idea.
