I need to get an impact wrench for my air compressor. Im not sure what to get. I see harbor freight has many and some that are very cheap while others a considerable more. Some are single hammer and some are dual. My compressor puts out 5.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI; 7.2 SCFM @ 40 PSI. Im looking for something with the grunt to knock nuts loose. For instance on my motor mounts on my 800 OMC the nuts where so damn tight I could not budge them. I went to the auto parts store and the guy whips out an electric impact wrench and amazingly it knocked them loose like it was nothing. Didnt even have to hold the shaft the nut was attached to. I was amazed!
What amount of torque would suggest at a bare minimum? Im looking for a good wrench that is not too expensive. I am leery about harbor freight. Many of their tools are absolute junk. But sometimes you can get a hold of stuff that is of good quality and cheap at harbor freight
