Re: Sad but true

Never got a chance to take my new old boat out this year before the season ended, but it has a new transom and floor and a far better newer trailer under it. Still have to join in the splashwell and dash sections I cut out of my first boat that were much better than the original ones in the current boat and then plan blending it all in with a few layers of gel coat.

Sad ending to the boating season this year for sure. Next year though.

I winterize in December when Bass season ends. Until then I use caution and drain the manifolds after every trip.

Re: Sad but true

Just did the sad deed this past weekend. Winterizing with snow on the ground and freezing rain running down your collar is depressing but at least I figure I got right to the bitter end of the season.

Of course come Monday it was sunny, wouldn't you know.

You know what, tash? It was just about that nice here Mon & Tues - got up to mid-70's in the afternoon, although the leaves on our trees are slightly different colors :|

This weekend will be a different story - we will probably see it dip below 35F at night for the first time.....I guess it's time to pull 'er.

Mine has been done for a while and this morning there was an inch of fresh snow on the boat.

I never winterize my boats, they get used year round. It was 23* at my place the day before yesterday and we went out fishing.

Cast Off from Bondo's Riverbed Chalet, at Just before Daylight this morning,.....
The "Sunkhaze Maineiac" hauling the "Mom's Paycheck" by about 25' of 3/4 line,.....
Sunrise Struck under the Lake Effect Clouds just as we cleared Johnson Shoals,+ rounded Independence Point,........
After the run down into the end of Chaumont Harbor,... We made the TIGHT Swing((this is nearly 100' total length, boats,+ line) to head upwind to the Concrete Dock,.........
I managed to bring her along side the Dock about Perfectly,........8)
Owen handed a line to Geordie,+ I cast off the Tow, motored over to another dock'n tied off........
It was an Easy Swing into the Travelift after That..........

She now sits blocked up on a 60 year old Concrete roadbed,......
(Ayuh,.. Those are my River Houses just under the starboard bow)
