I bought a Harley through eBay, get an email today at work (not the addy I have listed with eBay) with payment instructions, and I'll pay the freight! Thats $883 less than what I expected to pay in shipping alone! Of course the first thing I do is turn it in to eBay. And then they wanted the money wired, thats a no no also! But how the hell did they link it to my work addy? Are there really people out there stupid enuf to fall for this scam? I also picked up my cell phone and called the seller!

Here is one way it happens.....

Take your ebay id and google it. On occasion you can match an id with an email and consider the scammers do this for a living..... go figure.

Bob,

That is crazy. I googled my ebay id and all sorts of stuff popped up. Including accurate information, and emails with my exact ID.

Now I am worried a bit more.
