With the upcoming election I have been contacted by the Republicans four times and the Democrats once. I can't imagine what I have to look forward to in the next two days... :|

Found a way to keep the Demoncrates away from the house.
Fly the American flag and put a "Support the Troops" sticker on the front door.
Doesn't work with Republicans though
In the last two weeks we have file 13nd 15-30 snail mail adds
Not a day goes by that we don't have 3-5 messages (90%) from the Demons
Emails about 5 a day from republicans .... arrrrg

Oh the joy of an unlisted phone #,combined with a lovely saint bernard (who would not hurt a fly, even the deer ignore him)
My house has enjoyed absolute peace.
ps,I suspect that the real reason is that I live in a district that is so completely democrat that nobody bothers trying to change a foregone conclusion.

I bet I get 5 pieces of junk mail a day at my house and almost an equal division with the exception of one person who is trying to buy his way into office. His propaganda makes up 40% of the junk mail.

Here in Southern Indiana we have a heated Congressional seat race going on. I can't count the number of "slick" mailings I've received. When I say slick, I mean they ain't good for starting a fire or wiping your ...

No phone calls that I've taken.

However the wife can talk to a received wrong number for 10 minutes and find out they are kin.

Just a local state congress rep.

Somehow, I've managed to remain incognito to the major efforts.

Did get contacted by a polling firm a couple of months ago. Normally I hang up on unsolicited calls before they even get into their spiel ( They could be trying to give away a million bucks, and I would never know) but for some reason this time, once I found out they really were not trying to sell something, and I answered their questions.

We get 8-10 phone calls a DAY from automated massages.

We went out the other day for a few hours- about 6 messages on the machine.
