Should we use an OEM lightbulb or will an aftermarket bulb suffice?

And we must not forget the poster that hates lightbulbs and wants to go were they just use candles, then stomps off vowing to never be seen again on This Forum because a Mod came back with "why are you still using lightbulbs then?", claiming personal attack.

Of course this starts a flame war between the supporters of Free use of lightbulbs and those who have broken theirs, and calling for the banning of that Mod for "insensitivity" and "threatening another poster" for pointing out that "if you drop your bulb when hot, it's going to die on you"........ all resulting in more personal attacks by the posters that are decrying personal attacks in the first place!!!... Gotta love this forum... only in America.

I absolutely prefer to change a light bulb over a diaper . . .

Especially if that dirty diaper is on an adult.

QC, don't you find that if you break the lightbulb (my prefered spelling) over the diaper it's then not fit for use even if shaken out?

<a href="http://www.">link</a>

Even if it is not over the diaper, it may not be of any use, although I'm sure someone could find use for a broken bulb.

I've mixed and matched my light bulbs with no problems. I use GE, Phillips, and others sometimes in the same room.

And at least 10 more to argue about which grade of oil will make the new lightbulb last the longest :p

if my lamp is rated for a 60 watt lightbub,
would it be okay if I use a 100 watt ?
I use a 40 watt now but it's just not enough light,
what size shade should I use for the best all around light?
