recommend an outboard motor lock, 25hp

need an outboard motor lock,
saw this, a Master Lock, at boatersworld for $25
has anybody used this and is it any good?

it would be for a yamaha. any advice greatly appreciated.

Looks good. I toss a simple Carriage bolt (drill a hole if one not supplied) through the transom clamp and hull, and double nut the other end cranked tight. Takes me forever to get it off (till the torch comes out), so some scumbag will still be at it when it gets light, if he's that stupid to keep at it.

That lock looks great. Criminals use the path of least resistance. The neighbors unlocked motor will be gone before your locked one.

wednesday night was stormy here in the south, during the night someone completely open the double gate in front of the boats. nothing was missing. meet Tasha.

Now thats the type of security that I was talking about. Beats any alarm system anyday. I use a very similar version.but a different breed.

Just put a McGard lock on my 30hp. Its basically the same as the lock and key on your car's wheels. Its about $30 at west marine.
