I just purchased a 1982 wellcraft 260 express cruiser with twin merc 260's meaning twin 350 motors I pulled both motors to rebuild as one had a knock in the bottom end. I was wondering if anyone had a clue as to the estimated speed of this boat. its 26 foot long with a 10' beam and 7,000 lbs. And it will have fresh motors and freshened up outdrives. quite a project for me, as its my first twin engine boat. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/boatFullDetails.jsp?boat_id=1347028&checked_boats=134

if the link works its the same boat as that but with twins That should be better, Wish i knew how to add my oen pictures

Re: performance speed question

If you edit your post,+ separate the link from the end of your sentence,.......
It would Easily Work with a simple C&P.....
The 1st time I tried,... The "boat." came with the "http"......

To answer your Question,........

I'd Guess it to be the Mid-40s........

With the Twins, Your getting Reliability,+ Maneuverability.......
I Doubt the Top-end would be much better than the 1 in your link......

Re: performance speed question

my guess @ top speed- around 44 mph .
edit - I posted that before I read Bondo's mid 40's estimate.

My 26' Cruisers 10'beam weighed 6500 and did 33 -35 with it's single 330HP engine
