they have no fear of a boat.
in fact we would get a hooked one near the boat and another would shoot out from under the boat and attempt to take the lure from the hooked one.
you would not believe how many came up as I was lifting the lure for another cast and took an amazon ripper in midair.
I got 30 over 10 pounds that trip.
lost a payara but I will rectify that this time.
I hope to make a quik trip to Urima to try for some 25#+ payara this winter as well.

funniest fishing I did was fishing for pirranha.
ever fished for bluegills with a stainless leader
meat, on a hook, tossed out someplace, would generate a fish in 40 seconds.
the guide was not real happy to have me fishing for pirranha.
I compensated him very well and the lodge paid him a 400 dollar bonus cause I had the big fish for the month.
now its gonna cost me more cause of Jimmy but we will have some stories to swap in the evening at the bar.
