Between A to D? (mini rant)

This grammatical screw-up is appearing more and more in the media. It is annoying.

A clear statement would be:

"A to D", which includes A,B,C and D.

or

"Between A and D", which includes only B and C.

"Between A to D" means nothing useful.

Why don't the media get editors/commentators/anchors, etc. that speak English?

It should be written as "from A to D" or "between A and D."

Another example of this could be, Jose snuck across the border from Mexico to America or Jose snuck across the border between Mexico and America.

The fact that Jose gets financial and medical assistance when he arrives is irrelevant to the example.

It's not their results... it's their intent that matters. They meant to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, but they just fell short. They get an "A" because they meant well! 8)

Jose and I sneaked across the border, but Maria sneaked across with Ricardo and me. That was the previous trip that I was paid to smuggle in other Mexicanos, not the most recent one.

This one, I fear, is lost . . . If you (or I) listen to almost any conversation, TV script or otherwise, the majority believe that you simply never use me when combined with another's name, and you're good to go. It sucks that when I finally get it right after years of having it drilled into my head, I now sound like the idiot :|

Lit & lighted are real words found in the dictionary.....
However, snuck does not fall into that category.....
