Boise State? Is that some junior college somewhere?
Two irriesponsible comments
A. Michigan lost to Ohio State
B. That is what USC said before Fresno State Beat them in the Holiday Bowl.
Last year the only team that came close to defeating USC was guess who, Fresno State, who lost to Guess who, Boise State.
tex if USC beats Michigan is your answer still the same?
Regardless of who is named, unless Ohio State beats Florida and OU beats Boise, there will be an unbeaten uncrowned Champion. Something the BCS is supposed to prevent.
Oh well. Que sera sera.

Okay...Okay...Now I know who Boise State is.

Congrats to Boise State University!

What a game! I watched till the end and I thought they should go for the two after they scored in regulation. I thought they had no chance in OT.

I was delighted when they went for two after scoring in the first OT period, and it would have been the right decision even had the attempt failed.

You play to win the game, and that gave them the best chance of winning.

And FTR, I support the bowl system. Perhaps there should be a plus 2 playoff system of some sort, but you will never end arguments, and even if you could, what fun would that be, anyway?

How did I miss this thread back int he beginning of Dec? Guess too much hunting and not enough iboats! 8)

What a day yesterday. Wish Michigan would have played the way they did in the regular season ... but they didn't, and they lost. I think if that game would have been played the end of November or beginning of December it would have been a different outcome - too long of a layoff for Carr to keep team focused. Carr has had difficulties preparing teams to play after a month or more layoff.

Glad Boise State won - thought they would. But they had me scared the last minute and a half of the game and then overtime! What a game! What a finish!

OSU should beat Florida, PSU won (We Are...Penn State! whose 4 loses came to Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame when they looked real good), Wisconsin won, shame Michigan didn't win. I was pulling for and OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin finish.

Oh well, woulda, coulda, shoulda ... that's why they play the games on the field and not just on paper.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmeeeeeeeeen Ma Brouutheas.
To hear me talk you would never believe I am a Die hard Sooner fan. But after following them the better part of fifty years I have learned what to expect. Every game has one winner and one loser but OU is a winning program and there will be another day. Go Gators.

Well some much for that "pretender". The odds are Ohio will remain undefeated and for cageys' sake I hope so. On the other hand, if cagey or any one else is so confident as to give 9 I have a little Boise State windfall I can risk. Not to mention a few "pennies" (points) left over from the Michigan debacle. (more)

What a pal, Ray! So, I can't take money from a friend ... But Gators are gonna get crushed by a Big Ten Team - the toughest Conference in the nation.

You can "take" as much money as a friend has to give. But everyone likes a sporting chance. I am setting by the phone waiting for a call from the hospital on my daughters surgery, so you have my undivided attention. (well reasonably so). The real profit in this discourse will only be reaped "after the ball is over." If you won't give 9 what can I "take". :^

After last night, I don't understand how anyone can put Louisville in the same class as OSU, FL, USC or MICH. Sorry, they just are not. The Big East is one of the weakest of the BCS conferences.

I agree with ya, Kagee.

And Ray, hope it is nothing serious with your daughter, but any surgery is serious when it is done to you or a loved one. Praying all goes well.

Kagee, do we also agree that the Big 10 (11) is the toughest Conference?

Cagey: And your "Points" is? The best that the Big 10 can finish is 3 and 4 and they had to add Penn State to do that. As to the Big East what does that have to do with the success or failure of any other conference?

Jtex, this CIO (CA improved okie) doesn't need your sympathy and OU can console themselves with another Big 6 8 12 trophy.

We agree Art.... it is the best conference, this year anyway.

My point Techno? Folks in these parts were trying to make the case that Louisville deserved a shot at the big game. Well that was prior to the Rutgers debacle. Even if they beat Rutgers, there is no way they are on the same level as those other teams.

Re: A new Controversy, just for New Years Day (RE-Edited)

Sad, very sad. They just can't win in a bowl game, can they? First half they looked good, but couldn't make the adjustments necessary, and LSU wouldn't let their defense get off the field.

In ND's defense, LSU played a great game, were able to get the big plays, and the defense really picked it u a notch in the second half. LSU just outplayed them in every phase of the game the second half (at least what I could stay awake for - zzz ).

No, no no. What's your POINTS as in OSU by 14 or nein? Big 10 3 other conferences 4 thanks to longtime independent PSU, other wise it would be 2 and 4.
Additionally, one game is all it takes to lose a championship. Happless Michigan, is historical leader in win loss percentage and anytime Notre Dame loses I am happy, except when they play USC. ;)

You are all about to see the Big 10 show itself as THE most powerful conference.

Well, the SEC won the football championship(Florida), they won the basketball championship(Florida), and tonight they won the women's basketball championship(Tennessee). The SEC looked like it was pretty powerful too.8)
