What HP is my mariner???

Just got a cheap second hand Mariner 2stroke Outboard. Mercury made not YAM

It was sold to me as a year 2000 6hp, However the cowling looks to me as though its been replaced. I have a suspicion its not the original and outboard could be larger!!! Its heavy for a 6hp aswell.

Model number appears to be 875-84272-03

The HP/Year isn't printed anywhere...

9 could have been a G... (It was dark when I checked)

Its a 2 cylinder.

But same engine as the 9.9/8/15

And apart from the cowl, theres no where to tell me the hp. It feels too heavy for the 6hp.

I've found from the serial number its a 1994 engine, not 2000!! So the cowling has been changed.
