anyone know what year this motor is? evinrude 150 pro series...i'm thinking of buying this boat...the guy said the motor has a miss in it..doesnt know the compression or year....i'm mainly buying it for the boat itself though....dont care about the motor since the boat is very cheap...but would be very happy if it had good compression and was just a simple electrical problem :)

Re: need help ID'ing this motor

I'd put it in the early 1990's, that's as close as I can come. It's not a 1991 or 1994,95,or 96.

not to be argumetive, but I think 87 could be right.Looks like a crossflow from the late 80's.I could use it in the Fl. Keys.I got a low hour powerhead from my seadrive.Looking for a decent midsectin and lower(my lower got a crack)

Agree with mikesea, looks like the lower cowl and fuel line connector for a crossflow.
