Re: Travelling for Christmas

I'm making a short trip of 10564 miles.
23.5 hrs on a plane to Australia.
Is there a prize for the longest trip to get to an iboats get together. If all goes to plan I should be getting together with Dunaruna and Triton II while I'm there.

I'm looking forward to a Christmas Day BBQ and NYE on board Triton's boat on Sydney harbour for the fireworks on the Sydney Harbour bridge.

As I type this, I am sitting in a cool little internet cafe on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

I usually fly out of Traverse City--Sometimes out of Pellston, and once in a while out of Grand Rapids. Rarely, if ever, out of Sault Ste Marie, because the fares are usually double or more.

This time, out of TVC

Merry Christmas, all!

Re: Travelling for Christmas

Good luck with the fishing, Snapper. Glad you guys are getting to hook up.

Me, I will be traveling tothe kitchen to prepare brunch for about 15 people (my side of the family), while preparing a late lunch/early supper for about 20. After brunch and clean up we will load the "traditional Christmas Dinner" in the car and traveling about 15 miles to my FIL's, where wife's side fo the family will be waiting for us. Definitely more cooking and cleaning that we bargained for this Christmas, but with the age of FIL and my mother, don't know how many Christmases they will be around for, so we want to make the best of things while we can.

I 'm staying here in town. Most of my family is congregated in this area. The few that live out of state couldnt be much further apart.......NY, Cali, and Alabama.

Safe travels to all of you who are. Merry Christmas.
