Why would I want to Google it? If Monica is too lazy to link her post it loses all credibility with me.

Losing credibility with Capt. Crunch - now there's a cause for concern.

Now see, there is your problem.... you either can't read or you have comprehension issues. It's Lieutenant Commander Crunch. Try reading it over and over, soon you'll be able to do it without your lips moving.... well, maybe. :p

Quote boomyal

It's more kinda like 50 years of Federal Welfare. Long after the writing was on the wall, the libs fought tooth and nail to keep from 'reforming' it. But then, it was really accomplishing exactly what they wanted it too, wasn't it? And all the rank in file just sucked it all up.

I wonder what that has to do with the topic of, (Are Conservatives Authoritarians?)

Are Conservatives Authoritarians?

Yes...

But then again, Liberals share that trait as well...

Unfortunate that both are blind to their own actions....

All sides of the political spectrum share one common trait, they think their agenda is best for mankind, they all think they know better than the "common man".

Be they Liberal, Conservative, Socialist, Communist, or Fascist... they all share one trait, and it is a Mental illness... .Megalomania.

The trick is to decide which "flavor" of illness you feel comfortable to subscribe to.

Now that I can agree with....

Then again tricks are for kids. We should all be able to see that most of what is presented as threats to us in whatever capacity are blown well out of proportion or just plain made up in order to gather support and get people elected. What happens after is that the real agendas are handled while the 'threats' remain difficult obstacles that require another term, another term, another term to deal with. Yes many people are all too willing to jump on bandwagons, others think they are not but can't get out of the way. Fear and hatred are powerful convincers and there is no honest denying that both are sold wholesale to the American public every day, by all sides of politics not just Republicans. I see no reason to subscribe to any of it really, why should I?

The only way to not "subscribe" is to not vote, or move off this planet. By not voting you are, by default, subscribing to whoever wins without your vote....

Re: Are Conservatives Authoritarians?

I found this in another thread seemed to apply here.

samsam quote trying to define Facists:

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

Nope, can't draw any similiarities here. d:)
