two good things, and a bad

No Politics, but I thought as the year was coming to a close we should reflect on the year that was and come up with some highlights (personal) and maybe a low one.

Good:

My Ford Freestyle has proven itself to be an outstanding vehicle. I was leary about it when I got it but it has been completely dependable and versitile. I have 70K on it now and not one issue with it. American made, and a solid value.

Technology curve. We got a bunch of new tech toys this year and we have managed to master and utilize them in our day to day. Kind of surprized myself.

BAD:

The NFL trying to sell their games as a bonus package with a bonus price. Sorry but if this happens that is it for me. I will not pay additionally (as most of us are paying for their new stadiums in one way or another) to watch them play. I can and will find something else to do on sundays. I hope this costs them big time. It cost them my viewership on Thursdays Packer game.

Got a boat.

Dad is doing well

Bad:
Still working with I guy I can't stand.
Dad went to the hospital, is well now,but was a hell of a scare

Moved to Ten Mile (Lakeside, OR. )

Now I have to rebuild another house. :%

My business is growing faster than ever and I just picked up a new high profile client.

My dog is dying and I might have cancer. God must have decided I was too happy....

I retired in July.
We are all healthy.
All our kids are doing well.

Bad:
ZmOz may have cancer.

I have the most wonderful wife in the world, and every year, just when I think that living with her and loving her can't get any better, it does.

Life is generally good. Certainly not boring ... never know what is coming around the corning, but it is good. God has certainly been good to me.

The stock market is doing well.

Bad:
My FIL might have cancer - goes in for more tests the beginning of January.

My Mom is starting to show signs of alzhiemer's/dementia, and that certainly is no fun.


And to Zmoz, will be praying for you, sir!

Good not much!!! Everything is GREAT!! I have my first Grandson! Life is great! Everyone is healthy! No complaints!

Bad - a few minor things but deal with them..... I consider that part of life being great.

Good.....I'm still waking up each morning, glad to see another sunrise.

Bad.....some family trials and tribulations....but things are working out.

Spent a week fishing Lake Of The Woods with my son. He had his best year catching muskies...ever.

Spent a week in Hawaii with the Love Of My Life, whom I met and courted there over 50 years ago.

iboats got new software for the board. It hasn't been as good as hoped. :'(

ZmOz is concerned that he may have a malignancy. :'(

Good: The stress test ordered because of an abnomal EKG, came back "stable".

Good: The new Job is going well.

Bad: lots, but with God's help I'll have to (and will) deal with it all.

Zmoz, My prayers for you and the "best friend". Modern medicine is something else, so don't give up, man.

Bad: The ex moved closer, just a block away. Almost within spitting distance.

Good: My aim and distance are improving.

Good: I don't have to drop-off or pick-up the kids. They can walk. 8)

Good: I get to spend Christmas with my dad who is now 1 year cancer free, and my grandpa who had 5 bypasses after a heart attack 3 months ago................and go fishing with them this summer.

Good: The girlfriend and I have our 2 year anniversary in two months.

Bad: I'm to busy at work to do anything fun.

Pointer......whats funny is that you don't complain about the fact that the cable company charges you for BET, 3 spanish channels, and a host of religious channels. The issue with the NFL Network isnt an NFL problem, its the cable company now going against everything it normally does........now they take a stand against charging a extra fee for a channel, cuz they might make people mad that wont watch it? Its 70 cents a month.............who cares? You probably pay at least that for the channels that I mentioned above. Luckily for me I think WITI will be the rights to any Thurs night Packer game.

Good: had a happy healthy son in June.
Bad: sold the Baja in June, I loved that boat.
Good bought a new fishing boat in Sept.

Yeah LadyFish and xtraham I wish it was that simple. He'll be at my house for Christmas day, but an apology is not really what's necessary from him or me, long story that I have almost told a few times here. It's really about him, my closest friend and my SIL, if that gives you any indication as to how complicated. I really never imagined I'd be in the middle of a flippin' soap opera . . . :% :'(
