Now that I have made new bases for my seats, I need stainless steel staples to attach the vinyl. Does anyone know where I can find stainless steel staples? Preferably T-50 staples for my staple gun. How about a good vinyl repair for the few cracks in the vinyl? Please help.
Thanx,
Dave

I see a bunch on eBay and Google turned up quite a few sources as well.

They are made by Arrow and they are Monel, not Stainless. Some Home Depots have them or possibly your local specialty hardware store.

I found stainless staples at Home Depot. It said "stainless steel" right on the box. I thought they were Arrow, but I could be wrong.

Jamestown Distributers (boat building supplies) carries genuine 304 stainless steel staples

Hmmmm, might me something relatively new. When I went looking for stainless staples back around 96-97, I was told they didn't exist, that the only option was Monel and that I'd have to get them direct from an Arrow specialty distributor.

That's what I did and still have the boxes of various lengths. I originally wanted them to do my bunk and sideboard carpets. Either one would be the cat's meow for anchoring seat covers to their boards.

It would be interesting to know if there is any difference in the merit of SS vs Monel. I do know that Monel had been commonly used for various marine purposes for many years.

My Lowes had both Monel and SS.
