boatrookie, clams hasn't been around in quite a while, since the change in the forum. he lives in an area that only has dial up service, and got feed up with the slowness of the forum. loosing him and Tim, both live in same general area, was a great loss to the mercury forum.

It's direct charge and timing is at 30 degrees BTDC at 5500 RPM
Throttle pickup is from 2 BTDC to 2 ATDC and secondary throttle pick up is at 30 BTDC thats just at max spark advance

Re: clams need help please

Its too bad Clams gave up. I have the slowest dial-up on earth, I get happy if I get 26kbps, but usually end up with a sloth-like 21kbps. No DSL in my area yet. If I drive two miles to my moms house, I can hook my laptop into her dsl, and I do that when I have to download something big. Otherwise, its not bad here, it doesn't take me long except when someone posts three hundred pics in their post....

Re: clams need help please

Well clams was right it worked great!!
we trolled awhile at a snails pace and it never loaded up and stalled
I talked to him last night to ask him some more questions and rather then e-mail back he gave me his # to call him. what a guy !!
You know i had the same thing with my DSL provider I kept trying to see if i could get service in my area through checking on-line and it kept telling me no but i then called AT&T phone company and they said they could hook it up. i left AOL dial. maybe you should try calling and asking if they have it, if you already haven't?
one more thing, thanks for all your guys help i couldn't of got the old girl running again if it wasn't for your help.
