We have been fighting this war on “terror” for years now, but only on a “PC” basis.... a “police action” kindda way.... we tied our hands behind us as we went.

We have the technology to trace every bank transaction, every cell phone call, and the satellite coverage to locate any terrorist training camp on the globe. Why haven’t we used it?

We have the technology to trace the funds and “kill” the banks that facilitate the funds.

We can listen in and thwart the plots.

We can look right at, night or day, and watch them train.

So what is the deal?

Is the world so PC that we worry about “over stepping the rights of the terrorists”?

Are we worried about offending our partners that harbor terrorists?

Are we so worried about our international image that we are frozen lest we offend someone?

Time to get off the pot or take a ****. We can’t fart around all day and expect the world to change just because we want it to. We can’t worry about approval from the “world body”, ½ of it is the problem.

It’s time the 800 lb. Gorilla grew up and felt it’s strength, or this brief time in The History of The World will pass us by like a breeze on a Winter day.

Side note: The USA is the only Country in History that had/has a realistic chance to take over The World... we could whoop them all. It’s to our credit that we have no interest in that, but then again, who would want it? :p

Now you have me worried for you. Are you feeling numbness on one side of your body? Is your speech slurred, vision blurred? Do you know who the President is? :%

And we certainly wouldn't want anything but real honesty on this forum.

Crunch is right. Look at the pictures us regular people get from Goggle Earth. Think how much better the government's pictures are.
We know they're listening in on cell phones and other communication devices.
Bad guys coming and going in Iraq with ease. Weapons and anmmo getting in. Weapons might be cheap in the Middle East but everything still costs money. And money comes from somewhere with a picture of somebody from some nation on the front.
It's been many years now and nobody seems to know where the money comes from or where it goes.
AK 47's are stamped with country of origin such as Russia, China, Pakistan, and a dozen other countries that have been producing them. Captured weapons have to give clues.
Training camps in the middle a waste land cannot be easy to hide.
Aircraft and satellite surveillance should be able to detect the bad guys movements across borders and across a barren dessert.

Yep,

We need some sort of global leader to monitor everything that happens, and immediately vaporize anyone suspected of improper behavior.

How else can we protect freedom?

I tend to believe that we are and have been using every available resource we have to thwart terrorists plots against our Country regardless of any constitutional rights. I believe these type of transactions are buried deep beneath layers of government and are purposely hidden from the general public and media.

LadyFish has a point. We can't broadcast all our knowledge and methods.

And Broadcast it to the World for All to See...........

Ya Know,.....
Like telling Everybody Exactly When we're Leaving,+ Which Way we're going.......
Or,....
In the case a couple years ago, of Telling the Enemy When,+ Where we'll be Attacking...................

Actually I spent about an hour to reply. Afterwards as you proved, I decided that some of the people here weren't worth my effort.
So I deleted it.

As far as banking goes, my 86 year old Mom in law likes to chase CD interest. She pops up on a "watch" list every time she moves money around. I don't know what amount triggers the extra scruinty, but I bet a terrorist does.

"So what is the deal?"
lack of leadership

"Is the world so PC that we worry about 'over stepping the rights of the terrorists'?"
No, we worry about the rights of innocent civilians. Some call it "PC", some call it "The Right Thing To Do."

"Are we worried about offending our partners that harbor terrorists?"

If they harbor terrorists why are they our partners? See answer to #1 above.

"Are we so worried about our international image that we are frozen lest we offend someone?"
Are we frozen? Sounds like you have something particular in mind?
