I have a Yamaha 1989 225 V6 Excell. Will a Yamaha 6x3 remote control work with this motor?

R rodbolt Supreme Mariner Joined Sep 1, 2003 Messages 20,066 Jan 21, 2007 #2 Re: Yamaha controls it should. you may need an adapter for the engine trim sender harness and the oil alarm harness but the control box will work just make sure the box is the correct pull or push for fwd gear.
