Hi, when reading this forum there are many complaints to suzuki dealers in usa, is this a "well known fact" or just a few black sheeps? i Work with suzuki engines in sweden, and here we are having close to 0 problems with the suzuki motor company. Is it the dealer or the main company who causes problems for people over @ you?

Just finding a Suzuki dealer around here is a difficult task in itself, and it may be that businesses of ill repute are unable to secure franchises with more popular brands. Or are looking for a niche with fewer competitors. I know that was the case for Tohatsu. It's not a reflection on the product, just it's unpopularity in my area. The American brands are built in my state.

hello hrafnin,

I have been having problems with my 2005 Suzuki DF9.9MLK5 since I purchased it new this past August. I have had NO luck with two "authorized suzuki dealers" in my area. I have had NO luck with contacting suzuki to this point. Fortunately I read somewhere on a boating forum about another suzuki dealer in New Jersey (Browns Point Marine Services) that seem to be very interested in helping me resolve my issues. I think my main issue is that the dealer I bought if from (Bayracer Marine in Havelock, NC) has told me that it is up to suzuki to back their warranty and not him. Suzuki, on the other hand, will not talk to me directly except to tell me there is nothing else they can do. My motor DOES NOT perform as advertised! It vibrates a lot and misses. Anyway, I have some hope that Browns Point may be able to help. Stay tuned.....

Regards, BB
