Looking for a little information... just got a used 1989 20' Bass Buggy DL... aluminum deck... one question right off is the gas tank. I notice is specially sized/shaped to the compartment on the left sponson. Anyone can tell me the gallons in the tank. Its very faded with no markings. Any place to get a replacement tank?

Measure it and then try right here on iBoats. Search for Marine fuel tanks. OR Google "Marine Fuel Tanks". May not be exactly the same shape but you should find one that works.

Walmart normally carries poly 6 gallon replacement tanks. They don't have the bigger 12 gallon ones though, which may be what you have...You can figure the gallons it holds using the link below:

ok, we are missing the point here... I know how to find generic sized tanks from Walmart, Basspro, Cabelas... but this is an odd shaped tank, little on the tall side that fits exactly/perfect in the space created for it by the manufacturer.... Bass Tracker. Its a 1989 Bass Buggy DL. I found 3 1988 bass buggys on boattraderonline but none look like the rear of my boat. From the back side looking at the engine.... the right sponson has a ladder, the tank is on the left sponson.

We understand (or at least I do) that you are not looking for a conventional six gallon portable tank. Go to the TEMPO or other web sites and view there below and above deck tanks. They come in flat, wide, tall, thin, some are tall and thin, some are tall wide and short, etc. They also range from as little as six gallons to 30 gallons or more. Can't believe there isn't a generic tank you can use. Just google "Marine Fuel tanks".

Call tracker. If they are as helpful as some other companies, then you should have no problem finding the right one.
