Can you use sealed type or deep cell type battery with a 2000 175 johnson OB ?ON my force engine you could not use them ! Thanks JJB

I don't think you can use a gel battery they are sensitive to a high a rate of charge also they are designed for a prolonged gradual rate of discharge.I'm wondering why you would want a deep cycle as a cranking battery.It would work but a regular cranking battery is much better suited do to the rate of discharge.
