IMHO, it is not far fetched. Like the article says, all ya have to do is open your eyes. I might also add that a move in this direction and beyond, is Biblical.

The really "surprising" thing is, that at the end of the teaser, there is an opportunity to order a $50 subscription to a doomsday magazine, which people apparently can't get enough of.

Regarding the creditability of CNN, as long as something is a news story, they and other media are happy to feed on it.

We are indeed doomed. :'(

That is some seriously paranoid black helicopter stuff. I hope no one is actually taking that seriously. I can't conceive of anyone thinking there would be any advantage to unifying the three countries in North America, beyond us simply taking over the other two countries and increasing the USA. I don't see any of it happening any time soon, but what the heck, lets all stock our bomb shelters just in case...

The only way that would be even remotely realistic is if mexico wasn't so much of a worthless poop hole of a country. Kinda like saving a drowning person, and drowing yourself...
