Thought i lost it

i was recently giving my carb a good go over and clean stripping it right down even taking out little screws and the jets and i was doing some of it in the kitchen sink without the plug in (as you do) and when i come to put it all back together i couldnt find one of the jets so i am searching round the table on the floor everywhere and i remembered the sink so i thought the worsed that i lost it down the plug hole so i am now under the sink taking the ubend apart in the hope it was at the bottom of it and as i am doing this my wife walks in and asks what am i looking for so i tell her (while still unscrewing the u bend with some water everywhere) she walks over to the table has a look and says 'is this what your looking for' i turned around with ubend in hand and says (not repeatable) and there she was with the lost jet in her hand.
i have to say i felt quite stupid my wife rules!

Normally when I do that, and the wife comes over with that knowing look, I just act nonchalant and say well I think the sink will drain a little better now.:%

Yep, always good to break up the monotony of a carb rebuild, by doing a little plumbing maintenance. 8)

Oh man, don`t remind me, I have to be the most tunnel visioned man on the planet. I will be looking for something, anything, and I swear it`s not to be found, and my wife will come in and find it in seconds right under my nose, even in a small drawer that I have all but removed everything. I hate those words. "Honey is this what you are looking for"?

looking for my 10 in 1 screwdriver one day.......
tore up my box, my truck, and everywhere i'd been in between......
finally gave up.......
went to the auto parts store to pick up something......
went for my wallet........................betcha can't guess where muh screwdriver was?....:}

yeah done one like that i asked her if she had seen my sunglasses which i know i had not ten minutes earlier ,so she is hunting round the kitchen for them comes in to tell me she cant find them and they are only up on my head well you can imagine what she had to say :/

I've looked 30 minutes for my hat, that was on my head.

I've looked an hour for my sunglasses which I was wearing, on my nose, at the time was looking for them.

I'm worried about getting old. Of course I already am, I'm 27. Ugh.
