I heard from Tom, xtraham yesterday. He asked me to pass along his greetings to the board. I haven't checked to see if his toot post is being viewed the last count I had was 200. At anyrate if you are not aware, Tom suffered a stroke and is continueing to experience blood pressure problems. He has no medical coverage and will probably have to sell his charter boat to help cover expenses. I know that there are lot of good people praying for him so rather than post a seperate pray request I just added to his thread. However due to the fact that my posts have been disappearing and because no one else has heard from him I am posting this with the hope that anyone who is not aware of Toms' perdicament be informed. Tom still has an AOL account but he has to have his wife drive him to the Library to retrieve his messages. His email may be found in his profile on this site. This post will self destruct in five seconds. ;)
Edit: Here is a cut and paste from my email; Hey Ray,
Tell everyone thanks from the bottom of my heart, I really can't believe that I have made so many faceless friends in the short time I have been involved w/iboats, as far as my progress I have not had much, (not getting worse but not better) I did get test results that confirmed I did have a stroke and that I am very lucky that more damage was not done, (I think I said that in the other mail) no damage to the heart though, my heart is strong and pumping 6 liters per min, whatever that means? and they saw some partials floating in it that they don't know what they are yet, I go to the neurologist Monday, he will bill me but wants 100 bucks up front, its really starting to get tight, thank God my home is paid for, (that's why I have no $ ) I worked hard to make sure that no matter what happened my family would have a home, and I paid for it very early so no one can take that from us, the wife is going to social services Tuesday :)swallow pride:)

what do you mean expulsion?**** ****** ******** ***********, are you being a bad boy and I am missing it?
oh you asked about a phone # yes I still have a cell phone, been trying to figure out how to get that (the cell phone) hooked to my computer, but I don't know how, if I could get that going I have free nights and weekends and could go post some emonicons (I miss that) Edit
I got some kind of mail from 12footer its from iboats but I can't get it will you give him my e-mail addy please and tell him I received the mail and I can tell it was from him but I guess the library blocks cookies or links?

maybe you could ask Eric or xcuseme or i386 if the know what I need to hook my cell to my PC the phone is a LG vx6100

you asked about calling, sure you can my # is - *** *** *****

got to go now wifey is waiting and it has taken me aloooong time to type this cause of my right arm and my eye sight, thanks my friend for keeping in touch ;(

Tom

PS iboats is like nicotine or crack, addicting :) I sure miss yall
I mentioned the offer of money and he seemed reticent to that idea. I leave that to the indivdual. His speech is slurred a bit but he seemed genuinely touched to speak to the author and am sure he would feel the same of anyone who called. I will provide his number to all who want it. yeawho1 at yahoo.com include the word friend in the subject so I don't have to go searching through the trash. Latex Amphibian your mail must be lost in cyberspace.

I remember him commenting that he had trouble with his arm if there is a fund raiser you can put me down for a C note. The trouble that he was having must have been the pre stroke, I believe it is called a tei, are something like that. Strokes are bad news, but they can be helped if you get to them in time, my Dad had one. :'(

Maaaaannnn!!! :'(

I was wondering where Tom was too. Well I'm with treedancer if we can put together an iboats fundraiser. What a major bummer . . . Thinking about you Tom and will try the AOL addy as I think I have that here somewhere too. Send it to me anyway K Ray?

In fact Ray, if you can post his snail mail addy here (assuming that's OK) we can simply send $ with electronic banking I think.

Re: Life ain't fair, but God is good.

Just got a note from Tom. He asked me to extend his heart felt thanks. With his permission I will post it. He mentioned that he received an email from 12footer but because it was routed through I boats he could not read it. His aol mail acount is still active and he can retrieve mail sent to the address posted in his profile if sent directly from a mailserver. I refrained from posting it directly as it is listed in his profile but because he has asked me to and some have ask I will repeat it hear in non computer terms. e XTRAHam at Alpha Oscar Lima dot com. Hope that is not too cryptic for the slow learners.;) Please don't jump on any typos as my eyes are swelled with tears. I do testify in church sometimes but generally am so consumed by the spirit I cannot speak for fear of blubbering. I have been trying to get in touch with Christians locally for help that may be available.
