It probablly doesn't belong here as just selling my boat but we are taking the money and putting it towards our other money pit, our house. My wife wanted to put in new flooring and a built in dishwasher. also needed to replace our counter top. we went to lowes and not one "employee owner " offered assistance so we went to home depot and got help almost immediatly and now is looking at a several thousand dollar sale. oh yeah I got what I paid for my boat almost 4 years ago 8)

A high price to pay for a little home improvement, jimr. Methinks you had someone pushing you to do that. I know you can always pickup another one later but one of the enduring joys of my life has been the possession of a watercraft. The devil himself, could never have enticed me to divest myself of it.

I've had a powerboat since 1973, the memories are invaluable. Everything else I need to accomplish were eventually done but never at the expense of a boat.

But then, by today's standards, I've never owned a boat that was a huge financial burden or investment.

no one pushed me to sell it I wanted to.We will get another boat when the baby gets older but need to improve the living conditions of the house. I used the boat one time last year and had it for sale sense last summer. also it wasn't big enough for the 5 of us.

Darn your one mean critter dude.
A Built in dish washer fits in a 2' X 2' space.
I'd never put my wife in there 24/7
Let her wash dishes the normal way and then she can cook and clean the house too!

Heck, I thought women had smaller feet 'cause they weren't supposed to be standing on them very much.:p

Oh ok
Linoleum, still good looking stuff.
Prep prep prep..
Wet mop, Dry mop. vacuum and do it again three times.
In a high volume (foot traffic) area even a small speck of dust
will work it's way to the surface and cause spider cracks.

In our house it happened in two years.
At the cabin a family owed house it might take 30 years.

Re: Sold my boat fixing up the house

It doesn't do them any good to sit on the trailer and never get used. it was my first boat and now I have a better idea what I want in the next one be it when I retire or in a couple of years.
we are going to go design the cabinet and appliance layout today and pick up stuff to redo sub floor. the kitchen sure looks big when there is nothing in it.

We went and designed the kitchen today and we are going with hickory cabinets and silestone countertops. momma is happy we had some extra space and put in a bill pay station for her. that was a long 7 hours at home depot.
