5 hp sea king

i have a 5hp montgomery ward sea king model # gg9002b serial # 65x626755. i need a carb rebuild kit. any help?

I believe that engine is a 1956 5hp model which would correspond to a 1957 5.5hp Evinrude/Johnson. In all probability NAPA would have that carburetor kit, and of course your local dealership at a somewhat higher cost.

The carburetor kit part number is 439071 .

Part number 18-7043, right here at iboats. Same as Johnson/Evinrude 5.5hp carburetor.

That's a great carb kit, from what I've been told the same kit fits all these sizes and years:

2hp 1970-90
3hp 1968
4hp 1965-68
5hp 1965-67
5.5hp 1954-67
6hp 1954-79
7.5hp 1955-58
10hp 1954-63
15hp 1955-56
18hp 1957-68
20hp 1957-68

One note though: The Sierra kit does not include a new float. So if you need a float, you are better off getting an OEM kit from a Johnson or Evinrude dealer. The OEM kits include a new float.
